A Tribute to Love

What is life with out love?
And it only comes from above
Why do we look for it here?
Is it his love we fear?
They have nothing for us
For theirs why do we put up such a fuss?
We have his no matter what
With out his is a deep cut
Some call a broken soul
With out Him we aren't whole

Why do I want you so badly?
As if I can not go on, but sadly
Why can't you want me the same?
I know all my excuses are so lame
Please love me, it's all I ask
Please do this, this one simple task
Hold me with tender love and care
and your thoughts of me truly bare
Please show me what you think of me
I ask this, for I believe it's the key
To save me from my sadness
If you do this, all I will speak will be in gladness

Why do I idolize you?
In a month I will be asking who,
Who is that you speak of
You mean the one I said I love
I will say I don't and walk away
But see I lie until that day
For I speak love as a curse
Love from my lips is so much worse
Than a poison and a dagger
And with you I walk with a new swagger
I will say you made me want to die
But be very weary of my lie
The lies make my world of hate
The lack of love and the lie of fate
What if I were to look above,
For that wondrous thing we all need, called love?
